The further development of the world's first system for agglomerate markings by machine, which was introduced by HOFMANN in 1984, helped us take a giant leap forward.
"We were able to considerably increase the performance of the system while reducing the material usage at the same time. This also led to a substantial reduction in environmental pollution," says Torsten Pape, Head of Marketing and Sales at HOFMANN.
A Ukrainian roadmarking company with ample competitor system experience decided in 2010 to purchase an additional HOFMANN machine and has processed 105 cubic meters of cold plastics at only 260 additional motor operating hours since receiving instructions from the end of August 2010 until mid-October.
This yielded a 666-kilometer continuous 12 cm line, or 2,000 km interrupted German 12-cm center line with a 2.5 cm row distance. The feed precision of the pump developed by HOFMANN is constructed to remain as accurate as on its first day.
The normal application speed was 5 to 6 km/h. The average speed, including all empty drives, flushing processes and troubleshooting, was roughly 2.5 km/h.
"Decisive factors for these excellent results are the high application speed, simple flushing and exchangeability of the nozzles as well as the distance-dependent dosing pump control," Torsten Pape stresses.
